Training Programs

Universities and Educational Institutions across the country are increasingly being challenged with regard to the “employability” of their students. A study by McKinsey Global institute suggests that India will face a shortage of 1.3 Crore million skilled employees by 2020. Educational institutes are therefore focused on improving their courses in an effort to bridge the large gap between the skills potential employee’s possess and that of corporate requirements. Samanvaya Trust is evaluating alternative methodologies to improve quality of students on employability skills. The Trust has assessed a need for skill development programs for Undergraduates, Graduates, Post Graduates to improve the rate of success of student placements in industry.

Samanvaya Self-Employment Training Centre(SSETC) Value Proposition We at Samanvaya Self-Employment Training Centre have developed a short-period skill development program to bridge the gap between academics and employment with focus on the Communication skill function.

Skill Development 

Samanvaya Trust’s Skill Development Program is an intensive, process-based training initiative designed to equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in a corporate environment. The program is structured into five key components: Soft Skill Training, which includes over 120 hours of spoken English practice, enhancing communication abilities; Intra & Interpersonal Skills, focusing on time management, conflict resolution, and goal setting; Computer Usage, covering essential software tools and internet navigation; World of Work, which prepares students for the realities of the workplace, including interview techniques and CV writing; and Selling & Customer Service Skills, which teaches the fundamentals of sales and customer care through practical role-playing exercises. This comprehensive program, conducted in partnership with HCBM College Jagalur, also includes a Skill Gap Assessment (SGAP) to evaluate students’ employability and readiness for the corporate world.

This initiative not only boosts the quality and quantity of harvests but also ensures that farming communities are well-equipped to meet the challenges of modern agriculture, fostering resilience and long-term growth in the sector.
